Manufacturer: Balkan Pharmaceuticals
Substance: Tamoxifen Citrate
Pack: 60 tabs (20 mg/tab)
Tamoximed produced by Balkan Pharmaceuticals is an oral drug which contain 20mg of the active substance named Tamoxifen.
In medicine it is known as preparation which is used for treating diseases such as endometrial cancer, breast cancer, renal cancer, soft tissues sarcoma, oligospermia, in hypophysis tumors.
In bodybuilding this substance is also known as Nolvadex. Nolvadex is used by athletes in different ways: as a selective estrogen receptor modulator, as a triphenylethylene and as an anti-estrogen.
While Nolvadex doesn’t prevent the buildup of estrogen in the body, it does prevent it from acting on certain receptors, most notably, those located in the nipples. This is an advantage for bodybuilders, because this is the area in which gynocomastia occurs during the use of aromatizing steroids such as testosterone. Tamoxifen does this by actually competing for the receptor site in breast tissue, and binding to it.
Another benefit that results after using this drug is the fact that it can greatly increase the amount of testosterone that the body makes by stimulating LH production. This makes the drug a great choice for PCT.
To avoid side effects it is not recommended to use Tamoxifen with steroids such as Deca or Trenbolone.
It is very necessary to mention that Nolvadex doesn’t reduce estrogen throughout the body, and that those bodybuilders looking to minimize overall water retention and bloat should look towards true estrogen blockers such as Anastrozole or Exemestane. Average dose of Tamoxifen is 25-75mgs/day throughout cycle duration where gyno is a concern. Bodybuilders looking to introduce this drug into their PCT program often run the substance at similar doses for 4-6 upon the discontinued use of all steroids.
